How long does drying take? It’s difficult to say as too many things impact the drying process. We dry to strict international standards set by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification. We use various moisture readers and thermal imaging to determine when areas are dried to standard.

If you don’t have insurance, a deposit will need to be paid in advance.

What are the different types of water damage?Category 1: Clean Water. This water is from a source that is harmless to people. This could include overflowing bath, burst freshwater tap, or leaking from a water cooler. Category 2: Grey Water. This water has been contaminated with things such as bacteria, mould or chemicals, and thus poses a health risk. This could include dirty water from washing machines, dishwashers, broken aquariums or leaking toilets. It also may be from previous clean water (category 1) that has not been removed within a day or so. Category 3: Black Water. This water is riddled with disease-causing bacteria and harmful toxins, rendering it extremely unsanitary and dangerous. This could include sewer backflow, broken toilets containing faeces and rising external flood waters.

Can I turn off or move the equipment? No. We appreciate drying equipment is loud and makes rooms hot. It’s an unfortunate part of the drying process. Please don’t touch, move, or turn off equipment though, as this may cause equipment to break or malfunction. It will also delay the drying process and will cost more. If you need to turn off equipment for any reason, talk with our technician or call us on 0800 862 538.
